Stephen returns to Galadari after almost 2 years at DLA Piper’s Dubai office. His experience includes acting for local and international liability underwriters with an emphasis on local UAE Court proceedings and expedited and precautionary attachment proceedings.
He has advised and acted for several substantial property developers on high-profile iconic developments in the region. In recent years, Stephen has also advised and acted for hospitals, hotels and resorts on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters.
Relevant examples of his work include advising and acting for an EU real estate investors group with claims in excess of €20 million in cross-jurisdictional claims in UAE, Morocco and France; advising and acting for developers of a luxury resort and residential developments on the Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali in contractual disputes valued in excess of AED 500 million.
