Steffen is a Dubai-based dual-qualified German Rechtsanwalt (lawyer) and English Solicitor and holds memberships with the Munich Bar Association as well the Law Society of England & Wales. He specializes in commercial and corporate transactions, dispute resolution and Intellectual Property with an industry focus on technology (aerospace, ICT, infrastructure). Steffen negotiated large aircraft sales, defense procurement, software development, system integration, and construction contracts. His corporate advice extends to the conceptualization and implementation of cross-border joint ventures, corporate and industrial setups, carve-outs, M&A and subsidiary management. Prior to joining Bombardier, he was Senior Legal Counsel with Airbus, based in Abu Dhabi, where he established the company’s first legal function in the Middle East. Prior to that, he worked in private practice as IP counsel and litigator advising clients on software copyright, as well as trademark strategies (Zierhut AG, Germany). He also advised on market entry, corporate setups, and agency law (Roedl, UAE).
