Saloni Tuteja is a seasoned healthcare lawyer and brings with her 15 years of experience covering Asia Pacific and the Middle East Region. She is currently the Regional Legal and Business Conduct Counsel for the Middle East at Gilead Sciences. As a part of her current role, she acts as a strategic business partner and is responsible for resolving legal and compliance matters, cross border interactions, among others.
Prior to Gilead, Saloni was in Zimmer Biomet where she served as Head of Legal for South Asia and contributed to establishing the legal and compliance program for the region. She was one of the youngest legal and compliance leaders in the medical device industry in South Asia. Saloni started her career in private practice where she managed varied contentious issues relating to commercial, IP, employment, anti-corruption, etc.
Saloni attained her legal education in India and holds a masters from UC Berkeley, USA, specializing in business law. She was credited with the APAC scholarship in Berkeley. She also holds a certification in Asia Pacific Healthcare Compliance from Seton Hall University School of Law, USA. She has many publications to her credit. She is very active in industry initiatives and has chaired the ethics and compliance committee of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) for India.
Aside from work, Saloni is an animal lover and practices vegetarianism. She has an avid interest in vintage cars, classic watches, and traveling.
