Prashanth is an Advocate & Founder of Shivadass & Shivadass (Law Chambers). He holds a
distinction degree in Competition Law from Queen Mary University of London.
Prashanth has advised Domestic and International clients on a variety of areas including
Competition & Antitrust Laws, Aviation laws, Company and Corporate laws (including IBC),
Foreign Exchange Management Laws (including Foreign Direct Investment and Overseas Direct
Investment), Arbitration & Conciliation laws, Electricity Law, General Contractual laws, Drugs
and Cosmetics Laws, Labour Laws etc.
Prashanth has also appeared in over 1000 Commercial Litigation and Corporate matters and
Taxation (Direct and Indirect), for clients before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court,
Karnataka High Court, Competition Appellate Tribunal (now NCLAT), Appellate Tribunal for
Foreign Exchange, Debt Recovery Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal for EPF, Competition
Commission of India, Directorate of Enforcement etc., and many Domestic and International
In Competition Law, Prashanth has notably advised India Value Fund (Fast Track and Meru)
before CCI, a car manufacturer in the spare parts manufacturer investigation before the CCI and
Delhi High Court and a heavy equipment manufacturer before the Supreme Court on the issue of
search and seizure by DG (CCI), among others.
Prior to setting up Shivadass & Shivadass (Law Chambers), Prashanth has worked with top law
firms in India and abroad, including setting up practice verticals and offices in London and has
gained tremendous experience working with the Solicitor General of India for more than 10
years. Prashanth also delivers lectures at various symposiums on issues relating to Antitrust /
Competition Law, Company Law, Data Protection and Privacy Laws, and Economic offences.
Prashanth is also a seasoned lecturer at various business and management schools, not to
mention, leading law schools in India and abroad.
Among other hobbies, he is a trained classical singer (Carnatic) of over 22 years, a State level
Cricket player and a casual photographer.
