Marx is the Principal/Founder of Everlaw Associates a commercial law firm operating in Abuja and Lagos Nigeria, offering clients a full range of legal services. He is a 2018 recipient of the ESQ Legal Awards 40 under 40 category for young lawyers shaping the legal profession in Nigeria.
Marx is an experienced litigator who has appeared in all tiers of Courts in the Nigeria legal system. He has several landmark judgments to his credit and advices both foreign and local businesses on a wide range of legal issues including; litigation management, arbitration & ADR, labour and employment law, taxation and regulatory compliance.
His formative experience in litigation and corporate practice has matured into a broad interest in areas of law around corporate and business law. He has also veered into novel areas such as ICT/Technology Law. His competence in this area has earned him an invitation as an external facilitator on the annual “Information Technology and The Law” course of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) since 2016.
Marx is a member of the International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). He is an international intellectual property practitioner who has trained at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). As an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law he was a member of the 2018 Conference Planning Committee.
Outside the legal field, Marx was a recipient of the Nigerian Mathematical Centre Scholarship, National Junior Secondary School category from 1995 – 1998, and he is a Certified Associate Project Manager.
Marx facilitates trainings on law-related subjects to many institutions and speaks at law conferences and events.
