Leyza F. Blanco, a shareholder of Sequor Law, concentrates on complex business litigation, bankruptcy, asset recovery, and cross-border insolvency matters. She has served as mediator, custodian, examiner, receiver, special master and expert witness various proceedings.
Leyza received her Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from the University of Miami Law School. In addition to serving as Chair of the Business Law Section, Leyza is also Chair Elect of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and Education Director for the ABI Asset Sales Committee. Leyza is a Past President of the Bankruptcy Bar of the Southern District of Florida and past chair of the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s Bankruptcy/UCC Committee. Leyza was recently been recognized among the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Florida and is ranked in Chambers USA 2020 Guide in both Bankruptcy/Restructuring and Bankruptcy Litigation. She has also been named a Florida Super Lawyer and Top Lawyer by Florida Trend’s Legal Elite.
