Karolis Gudas
Dr. Karolis Gudas is an attorney-at-law, international author, and
counsel. He specializes in arbitration, energy, trade, construction, competition, and
state aid. He has acted in leading roles on large-scale infrastructure projects
implementation and disputes management, from negotiation to litigation before the
Court of Justice of the European Union and arbitration under ICC, SCC, and Serbia’s
FTA rules. At present, Dr. Gudas acts as a co-counsel in SCC disputes related to the
350 million EUR value heat and power facility construction and as a key disputes
lawyer for Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania on the design and construction of a global
greenfield railway infrastructure project Rail Baltica estimated at 6 billion EUR value.
Karolis sits on the management boards of several companies. He is an Honorary
Lecturer of the University of Dundee, Assistant Professor of Vilnius University, and Fellow
of Cambridge Centre for Energy, Environment and Natural Resource Government,
The University of Cambridge. Dr. Gudas is a Ph.D. graduate of the Swiss World Trade
Institute, University of Bern.
