Chris is a partner in Baker Botts’ Litigation Practice Group based in the London office. His experience covers a wide range of high-value contentious work in both arbitration and the English courts. His cases frequently involve a cross-border element and Chris also provides high-level tactical advice and support in relation to domestic litigation in overseas jurisdictions. In recent years Chris has acted as successful lead counsel in a $3 billion LCIA arbitration, represented the successful Claimant in the much reported English High Court case of Marathon Oil U.K. LLC v Centrica Resources Ltd and others [2018] and acted for PA Consulting Services Limited in its high profile dispute with the Secretary of State for the Department of Trade and Industry, which settled on favourable terms.
