A “final retreat” lawful battle has been sent off, expecting to drive activity on localizing Aussie ladies and kids trapped in Syrian camps.
A “last resort” legal battle to return home has begun by a group of Australian women and children trapped in camps in Syria.
On Monday, Save The Children asked the Australian government to immediately repatriate 17 children and nine women by filing a legal case in the Federal Court on their behalf.
According to Mat Tinkler, chief executive officer of Save the Children Australia, the legal case was only initiated after the organization ran out of options.
He stated, “This legal case was not the first choice of action by these Australian citizens in Syria after spending four years living in difficult conditions.”
“Born out of fear, suffering, frustration, and despair, this is a regretful but determined action.
“The political will is lacking; the Albanese government is morally and legally obligated to bring these Australian citizens home.”

The children and women will be alleged to have endured inhumane living conditions for more than four years in detention camps in the legal action.
Mr. Tinkler claimed that when he visited the camp the previous year, he observed Australian children suffering from serious health issues, emotional distress, and untreated wounds.
It will be claimed that dozens of people from the camps have already been safely returned to many other nations, but the Australian government has shown an “unwillingness.”
According to Mr. Tinkler, numerous of the involved children were subjected to punishment as a result of their parents’ alleged actions in traveling to the nation to join ISIS.
The victims’ families said in a statement that they had been waiting for years to see their loved ones again.
We’d like to collaborate with the government. We ask that these ladies and kids be dealt with like some other Australian resident and brought back,” they said.
“In this situation, we are parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles doing what any loving Australian family would do.”
“They are our family. They are Australians. They’re ill. They are in harm’s way. We should carry them to somewhere safe at this point.”
The move follows the bringing home of eight kids in 2019 and 13 youngsters and four ladies in October last year.
